Inspired by the popular theme among many American photographers, 'The Front Steps Project Founders, Who Found Family 'Joy' in Pandemic Portraits, Aim for 'Revival,' I embarked on a similar journey.
My aim was to give people my time and photographs of them at their house front door or garden, maintaining a safe distance and abiding by all COVID-19 regulations. I created an event where, instead of payment for the photographs, people made special donations to support those struggling financially in our area. The message behind the project was: "We should stay at home, but we should not close our hearts." At the end of the project, I donated the funds to the Catholic Church in Llandudno, which was helping the homeless.
